You play as a robot who manages a small ranch in a quiet
frontier setting while taking care of the human(s) who live on it. The ranch
must be made completely self-sufficient, including raising the animals used to
feed the humans, who are both helpless and whiny without your constant
attention. In the morning you may have to procure eggs from the hens, use them
to create chocolate chip cookies, and milk from cows and use it to make whip
cream, to serve a humans' desire for cookies in cream for breakfast. This must
be done before daylight when the human wakes. Then you must set the table, wake
the human, pull out his seat, arrange his meal, await his opinion.
The less you do for the humans, the more they will do for
themselves. As they care for their own needs and begin taking over the running
of the ranch, they will become expert at their own upkeep. However, this must
be done carefully, as the humans start at
a point of complete ineptitude and will easily be unable to cope without
you. If they know you are being neglectful, they will not hesitate to try to
terminate you, putting you in a kill or be killed situation. However, if done
properly, the humans will be trained to run their own affairs, become better
balanced as a result, and the amount of work you need to do will steadily
decline. Rather than be dissatisfied with all the work they have to do, this
method is the only way to ensure the humans are happy, as they discover purpose
in maintaining and expanding the ranch, conquering the new frontier. This will
lead to a valid win condition, where the humans, grateful for what you have
done for them, will gladly set you free, and you will be able to pursue your goal
of exploring the new frontier for scientific knowledge while they run the ranch
without your aid.
